HTC One M10 tipped as severely strong "HTC O2"

It's no secret that HTC is going through some tough times right now, so there's plenty of pressure for its next phone to be place on. Luckily, the successor to the ill fated HTC One M9 seems like it might redeem the business's smartphone fortunes. For starters, it appears as though HTC may eventually be ready to lose the clunky "One M-" branding. That's according to MyDrivers, which suggests the company's next handset will in fact be called the "HTC O2".

What's more, it's tipped to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 chip. The Snapdragon 820 is a quad core chip assembled using Samsung's super-efficient 14nm FinFET manufacturing procedure. It is anticipated to use Qualcomm's custom-built ARM-based Hydra cores too, which have yet to appear on any other processor from the company. A separate report by Mobile Dad certainly will make use of an ample 6in screen with a 1,440 x 2,560 pixel resolution., and implies the mobile will probably be waterproof device.

HTC ONE M10 Release date

The HTC O2 aks HTC ONE M10 is expected to be unveiled in early 2016, in line with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 launch date.

Wang failed to detail the handset that was teased at the time, so we have had to rely on speculation and rumours ever since. Do you think the HTC O2 could be the saving grace of the firm? Tell us in the comments.
